![]() Use the site plan and a tape measure to get the exact location of each column. Align the steel plate so it's square to the house. Use a 3/8 concrete drilling bit to mark the concrete by drilling through the holes in the steel plate. |
![]() You only need to drill a little bit to leave noticable marks in the concrete. Move the column and put the 5/8 concrete drilling bit into your drill. |
![]() Drill each hole two and a half inches deep. It's a good idea to put tape on the drill bit as a depth gauge. |
![]() Remove the concrete dust from the holes with either a blow gun or a vacuum. Tap the lag shilds down into the holes. Set them a 1/4" below the surface. |
